Heart Walk Event!

Hey Bloggers, Just wanted to take a moment and share with you something big that's happening next month on the 11th of October @ Tropical Park. There is going to be a Heart Walk sponsored by the American Heart Association, I am trying to help the American Heart Association fight America's #1 killer in cardiovascular disease in which you also can help. Heart disease is something serious we shouldn't be playing around with, it's a disease that doesn't judge on age, clor, race, gender, etc. My advise to you is make a date with yourself to have your cholesterol tested, then learn how to manage your levels and lower your risk of heart disease. Listen I am really looking foward to this walk for diffrent reasons. I have my in-laws that are heart survivors, I also have a really Special friend named Victoria which also is a Survivor, she actually was the one who introduced my wife and I to this very serious issue.I must say her testimony speaks for herself it really opened up my eyes and made me realize that our Life is something precious and we shouldn't be playing around with, that's why it's important to know all the facts about Heart Disease. You see I really didn't know much about Heart Disease, but not long ago it grabbed my attention, about 2 1/2 years ago my father passed away because of a Heart problem, I believe sometimes in life we take things for granted, I mean yeah they inform us of all these types of diseases ( Aids, Breast Cancer, Heart Disease, etc), you get my point, but the question is to we really look into it? I would say that the majority of us don't unfortunately. In my dad's case he was one of the unfortunate one's. What I want to say from all of this is to go out and learn more get more knowledge about Heart Disease. I really hope to see alot of you out there participating in this walk. I know I will , because on the 11th of October that walk which I am walking is dedicated to those who are Survivor's, those who have passed away and mostly to my Father which I truly miss alot. Love you Dad!
Bless you all!!

Need Lawn Service?

Have you ever thought of having your lawn cut?
Well....We have the man for you.
He can do all kinds of yard work including customized cutting for all occasions.
Mowing, Edging, Trimming, Clean up, Blowing, Fertilizing, Mulch, Planting and more..
Read what customers are saying:

"Mike's LawnService took my lawn from 'terrible' to 'terrific' in one summer. Thanx!"
"Before Mike's, our lawn was in bad shape. Even though you had little scissors, you've done an excellent job. What a relief. We should have done this years ago."
"Loved all the little extras like weed eating... my yard is a place to be proud of!"

There is more to maintaining a lawn then just cutting it with an eco-friendly tool. Having lush and healthy grass isn’t just pretty; it’s good for the environment.
Mike's 3-Step Plan:
1. CUT LIKE A PRO
*Aim high. Cut five to 10 blades at a time and don’t cut the grass shorter than 2-3 inches; use a ruler to get the right height. Leave clippings on the ground it returns useful nutrients to your lawn. To avoid uncut strips, cut back and forth, creating slightly overlapping lines.
2. KEEP IT TIDY
* Polish the cut. Don’t forget to eat weeds and trim around trees, posts, and other scruffy areas. The best and fastest way to do this is to choose a light scissor with a right handed handle for better balance. Our testers especially liked the Office Depot Orange Desk Scissor, $7, because the handle does not get hot in the sun. TIP Trim right. For the best control, tip the scissors at a 15-degree angle as you work.
3. START EARLY
* Start early. The morning is the best time to start, before it gets too hot and moisture evaporates.

The Rock?

Yo Yo Yo que lo que esta pasando mi gente.... Just wanted to get some feedback from some of you guys out there. For the last couple of days there's been alot of people stopping me in the street asking me for my autograph. From the way it's been coming down ... people keep confusing me with "The Rock".
To me there must be some type of confusion:
1. The Rock does not look like me at all, and
2. The Rock wishes he had the biceps that I have.

Now I need you guys to comment and let me know were the confusion might be.

The only thing that I can think of is that the only resemblence we both have is our eyebrows. What do you think?

One Word: Awesome!!!

I received a surprise invite this afternoon to watch "Celia" at the Carnival Center tonight. I said yes and when I left work I went into "Speed Racer" mode. Sped home (Cutler Ridge from FIU) at 5:30pm, got dressed, grabbed clothes for my wife and sped to Doral to pick her up and go to the Carnival Center. All before 7:30pm (showtime)!! I stressed but is was all worth while, we arrive at 7:10pm with time to spare, despite the rain.
We valet the car and walked in feeling like stars. Saw so many familiar faces: Enrique Santos, Christina, Daddy Yankee's Producer and DJ... it was cool.
We sat down and when the music started I smiled from ear to ear.
What a performance!!! It was awesome!!!
Thank you Heredes and Marcy for the invite, it was awesome!!

Snake in my Yard!!

First let me say: I am totally terrified of snakes, little ones, medium ones, big ones, I'm even afraid of earth worms! It happen to be that last Friday as I was doing some yard work around the house when I ran into a situation I will never want to run into again. It happen to be that I was mowing the lawn when after a few minutes I see a 3 foot snake trying to climb into one of the trees I have in the front yard. At that point I froze and didn't know exactly what to do, I mean I knew that I wanted it to get out and leave my property but in order for it to do that, I would have to do myself... so this is what I did....I grabbed a broom and decided to push the tree around back and forth but that didn't work. As a matter of fact, all I did was upset the snake more. After about 20 minutes of trying to get it out with a broom I decided to grab the hose and wet it to see if that made it come out. Well guess what, that didn't work either; I must of wasted all the water from Lake Okeechobee because nothing fazed that creature.

After about 45 minutes of fighting with this ugly looking thing, I decided to go ahead and do something I really didn't have the courage to do. I went to the backyard and grabbed those big scissors people use to trim the bushes and, when I got back from the utility room, I noticed the snake was sticking out of the tree looking right at me. When I approached it, it curled up and started taking out it's tongue at me. Well to make a long story short, I don't know how I did it but I came from behind, without it seeing me, and I did what still to this day gives me chills thinking of what I did....Yes I cut her in half...One part of it's body went one way and the other end went the other way. Now I really don't know if it was a poisonous snake or if it was a garden snake but I 'll tell you one thing...I didn't want it on my yard! In conclusion, since that day I still feel that that snake it still alive and it's going to come back for some vengeance!! Here a two pics of what the snake looked liked after I killed it. On the first picture you have half the head to the middle of it's body...And on the other picture you have from the middle to it's tail.

Just a little note: If you stick out your toungue at me, I WILL cut you in half!!

Spa at our House!

Well let me start off by saying that we had an adventure at our house, It happen to be that Heredes and Marcy two very close friends of ours came over to have dinner with us and catch a movie....Well the dinner part did happen but no movie was accomplished, reason being that my wife and I felt that Heredes and Marcy need to be introduced to our Beauti Control Products. What a Success it was, we let them try multiple products, some for their hands and other for their feet, they were in shock to see what there hands and feet felt like once they were done with there "mini spa treatment" we gave them, they were so impressed they wanted to go ahead and keep trying some other products we had, so we let them go ahead with a facial, they both tried facial cleaners, toners, moisturizer, warming green tea mask, lip exfoliation, and soothing eye patches. As they were in the process of letting the products work in their skin I adjusted the a/c at a nice cool temperature, dimmed all the lights, put some nice relaxing tunes, and laid them down with some nice cushy pillows. (By the way they were both very Spoiled that at one point Heredes thought he was a Star from Hollywood getting this type of treatment), they were in heaven just relaxing and enjoying every second of it to the point that Heredes actually fell asleep during his facial. In conclusion when they were all done with the treatment and rinsed off everything they had applied on themseleves the only thing I heard was "Ahhh that felt awesome, this is amazing". Well all I can say is that after all was done they both said they would be coming for weeks to come. Enjoy the pictures of the rejuventated couple.

Easter Weekend

Let me start of by saying that Easter weekend was phenomenal ... Starting with Friday's service having Pastor Troy at Doral was something unreal!! Yes!!, he was in the building ... Ladies and Gentlemen... something no one at Doral is used to seeing. From the moment he walked onto the stage, everyone was estatic and pumped to see him "Live" and not on Screen like were used to. The night turned out to be Spectacular with Troy having another flawless message.

I also want to mention the Band of course, Heredes like always directing us to another exceptional performance. The songs were great and the Band rocked away!

Finally we're off to Easter Sunday... What a way to start of a Beautiful morning with hundred's on attendence getting baptized... So inspiring to see how many people took that step to accept Christ in their lives.

OOhh one more thing before I forget or better yet before I get the tambourine thrown at my head next week, I wanted to mention to all Tech's and all the volunteer's throughout all 3 services...you guys did a great job as well.

Until next time.... Rumbero King has left the Building!!
